"I enjoy particularly the process of starting with nothing and work towards the final completion, using simple tools such as pencils or carving knives, coupled with simple, repetitious hand movements to fill a blank space with images, stroke by stroke. Usually, I would choose my materials to comply with different aims. As the materials had been carefully chosen, I can minimize my concern with technique, concentrating instead on my feelings towards the chosen materials and what I want to say. "
