LEE Bovey
李寶怡

 

LEE Bovey is known for her highly intricate cut paper and installation exploring migration in the context of the dynamics between humanity and nature.

Born and raised in Hong Kong, Lee learned Chinese calligraphy at the age of 10. She studied fine arts and graduated from The Chinese University of Hong Kong. Lee then earned a MFA in painting from UC Berkeley and a second MFA in digital arts from Pratt Institute in New York.

Lee’s works have been shown widely across the world and are represented in museum and institutional collections. Her cut paper works have been published internationally in over twenty books on the subject.

Lee currently lives and works in Los Angeles.

李寶怡以精巧的剪紙及裝置創作聞名,作品從人與自然的變異軌跡中,切入探索遷移議題。

於香港出生長大,10歲始習中國書法。李氏畢業於香港中文大學藝術系後,赴笈美國伯克萊加州大學攻讀藝術(繪畫)碩士,並於紐約普拉特藝術學院再修畢數碼藝術碩士學位。

李氏的作品曾於世界各地展出,博物館及大型機構亦有收藏。她的剪紙創作相關內容,於國際間超過二十本出版書籍中刊登。

李氏現於洛杉磯居住及創作。
